lined. you heard chris talking about it. fox 29's joanne pileggi is live in our operations sent. joanne you've been talking with a doctor who knows this injury very well. >> that's right, lucy, acl is a knock down injury if you're an athlete arc professional fat ball player watch does it mean for carson wentz? unfortunat unfortunately, the news isn't good. eagles star quarterback carson wentz takes hit running into the end zone in the third quarter and the result isn't pretty. >> now that we know the significance of the injury and that it is an acl or acl stands for apartment tear your cruciate leg tear, that it's an injury that will keep him out of football for quite awhile. inside the middle of the knee where the acl. there's a pcl in the back of the near knee. the ligament carson wentz tour is outlined in red here the ligament that prevents the knee from going forward if the acl and that's the one that carson wentz tour. report roar the injury unfortunately quite common among

this one. upper darby police identified the who placed hateful signs outsider a mosque a couple weeks ago. that man will not face any charges. here's the deal much police discovered he has a mental health issue. fox 29's dave schratwieser is live in upper darby. dave? >> reporter: lucy, upper darby police consulted with the district attorney and leaders at the mosque before making this decision. so instead of prison it will be forgiveness and a warning. >> when you put all the facts together, getting him help is what we should do. >> reporter: that word from police monday night after a decision was made not to file criminal charges against a man who allegedly placed hate signs at the mosque two week ago. police say he has mental hit issues. >> as muslim, we all love each other. >> reporter: superintendent chitwood says detectives identified the man on friday with help from the community. he lives right near the mosque and chitwood says during a police interview, it was clear something was wrong with the

63-year-old greek immigrant. >> you can see just by talking to him that he was intellectua intellectually disable. >> two woke ago surveillance cameras capture the man walking up to the mosque at 69th and wall it in carrying these signs filled with hateful language. he placed them here and at another mosque facility nearby. >> i said go ahead and forgive him and this is our faith and we believe forgive people. >> reporter: police say the man was evaluated didn't not have any weapons or other harmful items at his hope. he has no prior record. police did give him a warning. >> if you go anywhere near that mosque or any types of threats to anybody we're going to file charges against you and we're going to come after you. >> we want peaceful worship he here. not violent. >> he needs some type of help. >> reporter: now the man in question has been in the united states for over 40 years he has no known affiliations to any hate groups or any other groups

according to police. and again, no prior criminal record. lucy. >> all right, hopefully he'll get the help he needs. thank you much dave. four nuns are in critical condition after head on crash in delaware county last night. police say 21-year-old man drove into oncoming traffic around 7:00 last it in just horrific. paramedic transported all four nuns to the hospital. they're from the sisters of the has released a statement asking- for prayers. in chester county police caught themselves two grinches. east goshen township police say these two were taking tips and gift that is residents have been leaving out for trash collectors police caught them on upton circle after they hit mckenzie drive. >> a story about one new jersey rabbi's remarkable act of kindness that saved the life of a stranger. that's them giving each other hugs. that strangers to' name system

>> yeah. >> for us not so early. >> we got it under wraps here but this cold is definitely early for december. i was going to say january. it's more like january. look at old city philadelphia the temperature is 36. the wind chill is their. winds out of the southeast at 7 miles an hour and temperatures are falling even with the southerly wind. millville is 33. 37 in wilmington. 34 in lancaster. 37 in allentown and 32 degrees in pottstown. so as we look ahead we're tal talking about whipping winds gusting to at least they've miles an hour that comes tomorrow in the wake of a cold front. by wednesday wind chills are in the teens. that's the brutal day. i can't emphasize that enough. wednesday is going to be the most uncomfortable day. and then snow showers thursday and then another chance on friday. so this arctic front moves through tomorrow and with it, that front will create lift in the atmosphere to provide us way chance of some snow showers. how cold is this air? you can see marquette michigan at 13. but over southeastern nan today we have zero minus five, minus

eight, minus four, 20 below. you get the idea. we're going to get a piece of this and that's going to combine with strong winds. so wind chills are going to be a decent tomorrow morning in the 30s that's not big deal in the wake of this front those southerly wind become westerly wine wednesday morning once again the emphasis on wednesday feeling like seven in philadelphia. five in wilmington. thee in pottstown and reading and eight below in the poconos. then by the afternoon wednesday it only feel like it's in the teens and the poconos it feels like it's two. that is the brutely cold day. overnight, lows in the 30s. 20s in the poconos. and during the day tomorrow, high temperatures in the 40s. so not bad. you have that southerly wind component it's going to be afternoon and evening it starts to get much colder. let's go hour by hour overnight and here comes precipitation associated with that front. some snow empty poconos tomorrow morning. a wintery mix through the lehigh valley and some rain to the north and west but some of this could be mixing with some sleet or freezing rain to the north and west of the city.

foles saying he can't get it done. that with him at quarterback the eagles are going to lose. eagles fans, i disagree. here's why. nick foles may have had some ups and downs but he has been in this exact situation before and has succeeded for the eagles. back in 2013, he took over for an injured michael vick and led the bird to division title. during that stellar run we also recorded a game with perfect passer rating the you go has head for football and he can win, too. for those haters out that saying it was years ago, i'm telling you to look at how he played against the rams on sunday specifically that dime of a pass to nelson agholor for a crucial third down conversion that is the sign of a confident quarterback. knows how to make plays. doug pederson sports him, the team sports him and you should, too. in foles, the eagles must trust. lucy. >> 100% agree with you every single wore. >> new survey says july row is the most common the -- >> yes, says kathy orr.
